You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Splendora and Livingston. Splendora steamrollered Livingston 87-21.
Junior Dylan Matthews, who rushed for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Splendora's success. On the defensive end, senior Kyle Weber was a one-man blockade for them with three sacks and 12 tackles. The win was the 3rd in a row for Splendora, as they raised their record to 5-1. Livingston are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Splendora take on Little Cypress-Mauriceville at 7:00 PM. Little Cypress-Mauriceville enter the contest touting a four-game streak of increasing point totals. As for Livingston, they will face off against Lumberton. Livingston will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
