MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the
St. Paul's (LA) Wolves have officially been named to the 11th Annual MaxPreps Soccer Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard, which is in its fifth year honoring boys soccer.
This is one of the most prestigious team awards in all of high school sports and it is an exclusive honor reserved for the top 100 teams nationwide. In order to be eligible, a team must win a state championship and be highly ranked in the MaxPreps National Rankings. For soccer, only 20 of the country's best are invited and with nearly 34,000 competing varsity teams. This puts the Wolves ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
In the sixth consecutive state final appearance on Saturday, Feb. 27 head coach Sean Moser led his top-seeded St. Paul's Wolves to a 3-0 victory over the No. 3 Acadiana Rams to capture their third straight LHSAA state title. St. Paul's Most Outstanding Player of the match Austin Groeneveld scored two goals in the first half of the game to give the team a 2-0 lead. Senior Michael Boudreaux topped off the 3-0 win with a third goal early in the second half.

The Wolves finished at 27-1-3, outscored their opponents 94-12 and recorded 20 shutouts. By the end of the season, MaxPreps ranked St. Paul's the No. 1 team in the nation, state and Division I.
These incredible season achievements have earned the St. Paul's Wolves an invitation to the 11th Annual Tour of Champions.
