Wolsey-Wessington's Lorenzo Williams rumbled for the longest rushing play in 281 (9 Man) this season in his game against Hitchcock-Tulare last week. Williams' team defeated the Patriots as he sprinted for 85 yards on the play and finished with 213 in all.
Wolsey-Wessington added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hitchcock-Tulare, 30-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for Gordon Hooks' team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central's Joe Davis and Austin Messmer have proven to be a lethal combination. Davis has thrown for 383 yards this season, while Messmer has 9 catches for 185 yards. The Warbirds' Ryne Johnson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,350.
