7A District 6 recap September 17, 2013
Harmony scaled the state rankings by moving to 330 from 370 this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 6. The Longhorns climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Eustis 17-14.
St. Cloud was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs triumphed over Cypress Creek 27-9.
Lake Nona's dynamic duo of TUCKER ISRAEL and RYAN SOUSA proved to be unstoppable against Colonial, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. ISRAEL threw for 484 yards and 6 touchdowns and SOUSA had 358 yards receiving. DEONDRE FARRIER helped Lake Nona's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 78 yards.

SOUSA was the best receiver in the league this week as Anthony Paradiso's team beat Colonial.
AKIEL HAMILTON was the best running back in 7A District 6 this week. He ran for 91 yards on 7 carries as Osceola topped Michael Short's team. Teammate EDTWAIN BLACK added to the ground attack by rushing for 52 yards.
SOUSA had an awesome week catching the football as Lake Nona beat the Grenadiers.
ISRAEL put up the best numbers in passing as Lake Nona defeated Colonial.
He was 25-39 with 0 interceptions.
Lake Nona's ISRAEL and SOUSA have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback ISRAEL has thrown for 1,066 yards this season, while SOUSA has 33 catches for 633 yards. DWIGHT FAGAN from the Kowboys leads the league in rushing with 361 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Osceola takes on Liberty. As it stands, Doug Nichols' team is in third, while the Chargers are in fourth.
Celebration lost to Space Coast 48-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Stefano Saragusa was a bright spot for the Storm, as he ran for 71 yards in the defeat.
