2A Conference 18 recap December 3, 2013
Southwest Onslow moved up to 102 from 128 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A Conference 18. The Stallions were able to move up by besting Eastern Randolph 29-9.
Southwest Onslow added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Wildcats, 29-9. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
North Brunswick's Randy Clark and Kevon Perkins have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 676 yards this season, while Perkins has 13 catches for 331 yards. Malik Simons from Dixon leads the league in rushing with 1,899 yards.
The Stallions made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,658 from 4,258. The improvement was largely due to a 29-9 victory over Eastern Randolph last week.
