Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. Among the action were the efforts of Sheehan's junior Terrence Bogan, an offensive menace who scored eight total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Sheehan got a 64 - 27 win over Branford last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Terrence Bogan. Bogan earned eight touchdowns and 406 yards rushing the ball. In fact, our algorithms singled out Bogan as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another outing, another win last week for the team with the longest stretch of success (ten consecutive games). Naugatuck put the hurt on Holy Cross with a conclusive 42 - 0 victory. As a result, Naugatuck rose one spot in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
Avon Old Farms claimed most-improved honors this week by climbing the power ranking ladder five rungs after its game against Salisbury School. It was a close one, but Avon Old Farms sidestepped Salisbury School for the 31 - 28 win. The victory took its toll on the QB, however, as he was sacked four times.
