There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of St. Pius X's senior Grant Gunnell, an offensive menace who scored six total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Huntsville got a 70 - 7 win over Lake Creek last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Matthew Southern. Southern tossed the ball for 355 yards and four TDs. That performance made Southern one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Klein Collins (8th in the power rankings) and The Woodlands (18th). Klein Collins got a somewhat close 21 - 17 victory over The Woodlands. One star in particular for Klein Collins was junior Braelon Bridges, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown.
No Stoppin 'Em
Tomball Memorial was the better team in every quarter against Cypress Springs last week and consequently the better team overall. Tomball Memorial picked up a decisive 'W' against Cypress Springs, finishing up at 65 - 17. At 48 points, that marked Tomball Memorial's largest margin of victory so far this year. The combined 82-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.
Next Week's Big Game

Both teams are entering with last-week wins under their belts.
