Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, Ill.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 47-6 win over Bartlett (Ill.).
In the first quarter, the Warriors put up 14 points. Waubonsie Valley scored on a touchdown pass by
Jack Eddy and a touchdown run by
Tony Durns.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Eddy in the first quarter, WV was up 35-0 at the half.
Each side put up six points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 35 point game.
Bartlett's only touchdown came on a 24-yard run by Jordan Flint in the third quarter.
The Aurora school got revenge for last year's 27-20 loss to the Hawks with the victory.
With the win the Warriors extended their winning streak to four games.
In a Upstate Eight - Valley game next week Waubonsie Valley (4-1) takes on South Elgin, and Bartlett (1-4) will go up against West Chicago also in a Upstate Eight - Valley game.
