South Elgin (Ill.) defeated Bartlett (Ill.) 46-6 while riding the arm of
Rob Cuda, who tossed five touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Storm were up 39-6 at the half.
South Elgin expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. SE's lone score in the quarter came on a Cuda touchdown pass to
Derek Kumerow.
South Elgin's Cuda scored two touchdowns on the ground in the victory.
Bartlett's only touchdown came on a 4-yard run by Matthew Callahan in the second quarter.
The Storm has struggled this season, allowing 34.7 points per game.
South Elgin avenged last year's 27-7 loss to the Hawks with the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Bartlett, which notched a 20-7 victory over Larkin in its previous outing. The loss snapped Bartlett's two-game winning streak.
South Elgin (3-5) will play a Upstate Eight - Valley game against North next week, while Bartlett (3-5) will take on Neuqua Valley also in a Upstate Eight - Valley game.
