Dougherty Valley took their contest against Arroyo on Friday by a conclusive 40-6 score.
Dougherty Valley's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 27 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Arroyo couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 27-0 heading into the break. The Dougherty Valley defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The victory bumped their record up to 2-1. Arroyo are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Dougherty Valley will stay at home next week against Mt. Eden at 7:00 PM. Arroyo will be staying on the road, facing off against Amador.
