Crockett County (10-2) and Haywood (10-2) face off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. Each team will be battling to keep its win streak alive, with Crockett County having won three in a row and Haywood six.
Last week, Crockett County took on Dyersburg. Crockett County's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 26 points in the first half. That put it at a 26 - 13 advantage. The offense continued to do well in the second half, scoring 21 points. At the end of the day, Crockett County walked away with a breezy 47 - 20 win.
Meanwhile, Haywood has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling seven) after its most recent game. It blew past Obion County last week 47 - 20. Sophomore Decourtney Reed was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he ran for 163 yards and also punched in three touchdowns). Reed has been a consistent playmaker for Haywood as this was the 12th good game in a row from him. Junior Deyondrius Hines was in the mix too, providing Haywood with two touchdowns.
