It will be a battle of North versus South on Friday as Southeast square off against Northwest at 7:00 PM. Southeast will need to watch out since Northwest have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Northwest might be getting used to good results now that the squad has seven wins in a row. They took the match and then some with a 65-26 win over Heights last Friday. Junior Reagan Jones was the offensive standout of the match for Northwest, as he picked up 98 yards on the ground and accumulated 288 passing yards. That makes it seven straight good games in a row from Jones.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Southeast, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against East, falling 0-41. The state rankings had actually given Southeast a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Northwest were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Southeast 68-28. Northwest's victory shoved Southeast out of the playoffs, so expect the team will have a target on their back in this one.
