Friday night's game was a superb showing from both teams, but for Mike and I it was a quick getaway from a great community. We had to leave right after the game and drive to Atlanta, where I caught a flight back to California for my sister's wedding. Mike on the other hand had to get the computer fixed, and wait in Atlanta while I was away. He did a great job keeping himself together while I was gone because it is sure hard being away from me for 61 hours.
My sister's wedding was beautiful, and she looked better than any word in my vast vocabulary can describe. My family was all there, and besides a few little tense moments, there were no negative outbursts for a solid day, a record for our family. Grandpa cut a rug, Mom showed everyone where I got my rhythm from (My Dad), and my sister was happy. Love was in the air, tears came down my cheeks, and food filled our stomachs. It was a great moment in my sister's life, my family's life, and in my life. Congratulations Sister! I wish nothing but the best for you two, and may your lives together keep growing closer and closer for as long as you two grace this earth.
Now back to the Road Tour, and our next stop. We are right now in Boone, North Carolina, and tomorrow we will be making our way to West Virginia for a quick visit with Paul McCoy, the running back that two weeks ago ran for 661 yards and 10 touchdowns. This should be fun considering the roads to get there are very curvy, and the town is starting to sound like that of Zoolander's home town, coal miners and all.
Sorry to those avid readers of the Journal, we will try to keep it up to date for now on, but this weekend with me gone and the computer down, it was inevitable, and I am sorry.
