Frost (4-3) takes on Dawson (2-5) this Friday at 7:30 PM. Frost continues its travels as it hits the road for the 2nd straight game.
Frost can now show off four landslide victories after its game two weeks ago. It breezed past Hubbard two weeks ago with a final score of 42 - 14. Freshman Ramon Manrriquez deserves a lot of the credit as he ran for 246 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. This also marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Manrriquez rushed for 100+ yards. Senior Brandon Folmar was in the mix too, providing Frost with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, last game was the first rocky defensive outing for Dawson this year. It simply didn't have it two weeks ago, losing 43 - 8 to Meridian. The defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Jansen Tyner, who earned one touchdown and 114 yards rushing the ball.
The last time they met, Frost really took it to Dawson, winning 50 - 6. Frost was able to move the ball a lot more (505 yards compared to -24 yards), a gap Dawson will be looking to close this time around. Can Frost repeat its success? We'll find out this Friday.
