Trans Valley recap September 17, 2013
Modesto Christian's Anthony Brooks recorded the longest rushing play in Trans Valley this season in his game against Calaveras last week. Brooks ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 130 on the day as his team bested the Redskins.
Modesto Christian scaled the state rankings by moving to 248 from 322 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Steve Gleason's team was able to make move up by defeating Calaveras 51-15.
Nick Price and Michael Ysit gave Ripon a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Price threw for 141 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Ysit ran for 243 yards. Teammate Isaiah Mullens added to the ground attack by rushing for 114 yards.
Price and Ysit gave the Indians a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
Brooks was a passing and rushing force as the Crusaders defeated Jason Weatherby's team. Brooks' favorite target this week was Windsor Jamison, who caught 2 passes for 54 yards.
Ysit was a beast in the backfield as Ripon topped Ripon Christian.
Ysit was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Price put up the best numbers through the air as Chris Johnson's team beat the Knights.
Bobby Campbell was the best wideout in Trans Valley this week as Riverbank fell to Delhi. Campbell tallied 4 receptions for 61 yards. Dominic Jack helped Riverbank's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Tanner Pruett of Orestimba is the league leader in passing yards this season with 497. He has also thrown 2 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Robinson. The Hilmar star has 16 catches for 207 yards.
Hughson took down Denair 65-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Kerlee ran for 129 yards during the win.
