Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley extended the longest winning streak in Pheasant - South (9 Man) this week by beating Brandon/Evansville, 54-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wolverines.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross took down Hancock 70-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Ashby's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Blake Ohren threw for 133 and one touchdown and Gage Olson had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Olson chipped in 264 yards. Reed Hanson helped Ashby's passing attack out by catching two balls for 36 yards.
Hunter Fick made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Arrows beat Ortonville. The 5-foot-10 sophomore racked up two sacks.
Ashby's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Arrows feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ohren has thrown for 944 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Hanson has 34 catches for 492 yards. Ohren also leads the league in rushing with 806 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Ashby and Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley. Andy Campbell's team enters the game ranked 19th in the state, while the Wolverines ranks first.
The Arrows and the Trojans played the most hotly contested game in Pheasant - South (9 Man) this week, with the Arrows eventually emerging with a 38-32 victory. Ohren ran for 221 yards in the win.
