Comer Prep was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fifth in Chicago Public Intra-City 3. Earlier in the week, the Catamounts defeated Gage Park 42-8.
Rauner College Prep moved up to 517 from 556 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats were able to make move up by besting Chicago International Charter-Ellison 48-14.
UIC College Prep's dynamic duo of Jeremy Asbury and Koran Ward proved tough for Lindblom to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Asbury threw for 21 yards and Ward had 15 yards receiving.
The Firecats' dynamic duo of Asbury and Ward proved to be unstoppable against the Eagles, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
DeAngelo Johnson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Rowe-Clark Math & Science Academy defeated Sullivan.
Johnson was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 152 yards as the Masai Lions lost to Lindblom. Robert Winters also contributed to the rushing game with 77 yards on the ground.
Ward was the best wideout in Chicago Public Intra-City 3 this week as Travis Grubbs' team fell to Jonn Laney's team.
Asbury put up the best numbers in passing as the Firecats lost to the Eagles.
UIC College Prep's Asbury and Ward have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Asbury has thrown for 48 yards this season, while Ward has 2 catches for 35 yards. Johnson from Rowe-Clark Math & Science Academy leads the league in rushing with 266 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Comer Prep takes on Tony Largo's team. At the moment, the Catamounts are in fifth, while the Masai Lions are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Golder College Prep takes on Pritzker College Prep. The Panthers have allowed 12 points this season, while Pritzker College Prep has given up 14. Golder College Prep allowed 12 points last week as it fell to Johnson College Prep.
Mark Rychlik's team took down University of Chicago Charter 44-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
