National Guard and Hurricane Harvey

Staff Sergeant Aaron Wagner and Staff Sergeant Cody LeMaster, both assigned to the 167th Airlift Wing's small air terminal, chain down a portable water tank inside of a C-17 Globemaster III in Middletown, Pennsylvania before heading to the Texas area.

The 167th Airlift Wing launched four missions in support of Hurricane Harvey rescue, recovery and relief efforts. The unit's C-17 aircraft flew from their home station to the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Middletown where personnel and equipment from the 628th Aviation Support Battalion and the 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment were loaded and transported to an aviation support facility in Texas.

The 167th AW hauled a total of 113.9 tons of cargo, including generators, portable water tanks, vehicles, forklifts and 32 passengers on the four missions from Pennsylvania to Texas to help aide those still suffering from Hurricane Harvey's destruction.
