Former Carondelet Star Scores 46 Points
Stanford Center Jayne Appel scored 46 points on March 30, the third highest-scoring effort in NCAA history. Her big night helped Stanford advance to the Final Four. Appel is familiar with taking her team deep into the postseason, as she led the Carondelet Cougars (Concord, Calif.) to the California State Championship in 2006, before falling to Troy (Fullerton, Calif.) 51-46.
