Highland's Fennel impressive again

Highlands (Fort Thomas, Ky.) defeated Montgomery in the first round of the Kentucky playoffs, winning 60-13 in their Class 5A opener. Tyler Fennel and Will Bardo each ran for a pair of scores, and Patrick Towles added 133 yards passing in the victory. More: MaxPreps Xcellent 25 Scoreboard.

Bluebirds fly to 10-0 record

Running back Tyler Fennell (pictured) and the No. 13 Highland (Ky.) Bluebirds are 10-0 after defeating Ryle (Union, Ky.) 31-14. Fennell, also a defensive lineman, took the place of injured Austin Collinsworth and rushed for 214 yards for the Bluebirds. More: Xcellent 25 Weekend Scoreboard.
