Drew just edged out Jasmine Senter, whose 2 goals proved the difference, and Lyndsey Darden, who anchored a stout defense. Drew, playing outside rmidfielder seemed omnipresent, helping to control the tempo in both breaking up the Stratford flow and initiating counterattacks.
Drew came back tonight revitalized after recovering from an illness. In addition to her two goals and assist, she also played outstanding defense from center back in the second half. Drew got things going for the Chargers on an early goal, finishing a crossing pass from Cassidi Thomas. She also teamed with Megan Darden and Emma Carter to set up overlapping runs that resulted in consistent pressure.
Drew had 4 goals and 2 assists, including scoring the first goal of the season. As usual, she brought she brought incredible energy into the game and stability to the right side of the field.
