The Matadors now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rancho Cotate for a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 22. Granada will face a Cougars squad coming off a 18-2 non-league win over Vintage (Napa, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Newark Memorial falls to 6-6 on the year. The Cougars host Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA) to face the Mariners in a Western Athletic Conference outing on Wednesday, April 22. The Mariners go into the outing with a record of 6-10. Moreau Catholic lost 12-2 in their recent league outing against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA)
