Sirod Winters has been named player of the year. "Hats Off!!! Through his hard Work, Dedication and Will to Win, Sirod Winters is Cristo Rey's 2022-2023 Player of the Year. He averaged just under 26 pts. per game; along with 3.3 steals pg. 2.3 assist pg. with 7 double doubles. In the 2 tournaments played, he received All Tournament recognition. In the Redwood Christian Invitational, Sirod averaged 30.7 pts. pg. scoring a tournament high of 39 pts. against Berean Christian High placing him 3rd highest scorer in the 47 year tournament history. Sirod is in the top 50 in scoring in the nation and in the top 10 in California. He was also nominated for California's All State Team last season and has received the same recognition this season. It is well deserve due to the Hard Work, Dedication and Will to Win!!! Congratulations on a Stella High School Career. Your exciting style of play will be missed. Again, Congrats.!!!"
