In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Montrose Red Hawks basketball team scored a good 52-38 triumph over the George Washington Patriots.
The Red Hawks (25-0) will now prepare for their contest against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Kadets go into the non-league contest with a 21-4 record. In their last contest, Air Academy topped Thompson Valley (Loveland, CO), 58-53, in a non-league contest.
