The Banneker Bulldogs nipped the visiting Cardozo Clerks basketball team by a tally of 66-63 in Friday's league game.

The Bulldogs now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Coolidge for a DCSAA AA game on Wednesday, January 21. Banneker will confront a Colts team coming off a 68-30 league win over Ballou (Washington, DC). The Colts record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, Cardozo falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Clerks travel to Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Saturday, January 17. The Knights go into the game with a record of 10-4. Friendship Collegiate Academy won 68-40 in their recent league test against KIPP College Prep (Washington, DC)
