I started playing this wonderful sport when I was eight years old, in a small town outside of Colorado Springs. Ever since, I continue to fall deeper in love with this sport. I have put blood, sweat, and tears into this sport. Pain may sound scary but I enjoy this kind of pain. When I am on the football field I am at my happiest, it doesn’t matter if I am doing two a days or the coaches are handing out Opportunity To Improve (OTI)’s to the team, or I am throwing the game winning touchdown. Everything going on in the world, good or bad, just disappears. My mind goes into a free space and the only focus is getting better, or on the next play. Not only that, but I gain a second family, which means a lot to me. Like any other family, we have our ups and downs, victories and losses, but we always have each other’s backs.
