Alabama High School Basketball - Decatur bests Haleyville
January 4, 2025: Decatur, AL 35601 The Decatur Red Raiders basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting Haleyville Lions to 63 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Red Raiders now possess a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Lawrence County for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Decatur will play a Red Devils team coming off a 73-55 non-league win over Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-10.
With the loss, Haleyville falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Fayette County (Fayette, AL) to play the Tigers in a 4A Area 10 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 9-4. Fayette County won 43-39 in their recent non-league game against Northside (Northport, AL)
