North Dakota High School Basketball - Lisbon holds off Oakes
January 9, 2025: Oakes, ND 58474 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Lisbon Broncos basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the Oakes Tornadoes.
The Broncos (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kindred (Kindred, ND). The Vikings go into the A Region 1 contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Kindred nipped Oak Grove Lutheran (Fargo, ND), 62-28, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tornadoes confront the Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] Bison (Rogers, ND) in a B District 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Oakes will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Bison go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 38-31 non-league win over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (LaMoure, ND).
