The Schalmont Sabres basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Mohonasen Warriors to 45 in the Sabres league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabres now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ichabod Crane for a Section 2 Colonial contest on Friday, January 13. Schalmont will battle a Riders team coming off a 63-23 league win over Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY). The Riders record now stands at 8-1.

The Warriors (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cohoes (Cohoes, NY). The Tigers enter the Section 2 Colonial contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Cohoes nudged Mekeel Christian Academy (Schenectady, NY), 45-26, in a non-league contest.
