Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sullivan County nips Towanda
January 15, 2024: Towanda, PA 18848 Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), 43-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sullivan County upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Griffins host Montgomery (Montgomery, PA) to play the Red Raiders in a Midd-Penn bout on Thursday, January 18. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-6.
Next up, the Black Knights play the North Penn-Liberty Mountie (Liberty, PA) in a Northern Tier bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Towanda will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Mountie go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 45-44 league loss to Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA).
