California High School Basketball - Maranatha Christian nips Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Maranatha Christian Eagles basketball team scored a close 52-51 triumph over the Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves.

The Eagles (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Francis Parker (San Diego, CA). The Lancers go into the Coastal contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Francis Parker was tipped by La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA), 59-48, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Seawolves battle the Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 9-10 record after their 62-61 non-league win over Carson (Carson, CA).
