Wisconsin High School Basketball - Edgewood nips Laconia
January 20, 2024: Madison, WI 53711 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Edgewood Crusaders (Madison, WI) and the visiting Laconia Spartans (Rosendale, WI), saw Edgewood's basketball squad hold off Laconia by a tally of 50-49.
With the victory, Edgewood improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Portage (Portage, WI) to play the Warriors in a Badger - Small challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-15.
Next up, the Spartans play the North Fond du Lac Orioles (North Fond du Lac, WI) in a Flyway challenge, on Friday, January 26. Laconia will attempt to improve on its 14-2 season record. The Orioles come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 62-51 non-league win over Southern Door (Brussels, WI).
