The Atchison Phoenix basketball squad (Atchison, KS), was crushed 61-38 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Highland Park Scots (Topeka, KS)

With the victory, Highland Park advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Scots travel to West (Topeka, KS) to meet the Chargers in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. The Chargers enter the battle with a record of 1-8. West lost 67-39 in their recent league battle against Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS)

The Phoenix now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Topeka for a non-league battle on Friday, January 24. Atchison will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 53-45 non-league win over Highland Park (Topeka, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 4-2.
