Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Garfield Boilermakers (Garfield, NJ) and the host Mary Help of Christians Academy Blue Jays (North Haledon, NJ), saw Garfield's basketball squad hold off Mary Help of Christians Academy by a tally of 30-29.

With the victory, Garfield improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Boilermakers travel to Lodi (Lodi, NJ) to confront the Rams in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-10.
