January 23, 2023: Wellman, IA 52356 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) and the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA), saw Mid-Prairie's basketball squad overcome Mt. Pleasant by a tally of 61-51.
With the victory, Mid-Prairie improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Golden Hawks host Durant (Durant, IA) to confront the Wildcats in a River Valley - South challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Durant lost 63-33 in their recent league challenge against Regina (Iowa City, IA)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) in a Southeast challenge, on Friday, January 27. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 48-8 non-league win over Burlington (Burlington, IA).
