Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Telfair County Trojans (McRae, GA) and the visiting Wheeler County Bulldogs (Alamo, GA), saw Telfair County's basketball squad hold off Wheeler County by a count of 45-42.

With the victory, Telfair County upgrades its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Trojans host Bacon County (Alma, GA) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Bacon County lost 55-52 in their recent league challenge against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Wheeler County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 58-46 league win over Screven County (Sylvania, GA).
