Minnesota High School Basketball - Perham nudges Watertown-Mayer
January 28, 2023: Perham, MN 56573 Perham Yellowjackets (Perham, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Watertown-Mayer Royals (Watertown, MN), 67-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Perham upgrades its record to 15-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Frazee (Frazee, MN) to clash with the Hornets in a AA Section 8 bout on Friday, February 3. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Frazee lost 84-59 in their recent league bout against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN)
Next up, the Royals clash with the New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Watertown-Mayer will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 65-54 non-league loss to Melrose (Melrose, MN).
