The Pataula Charter Academy Panthers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Stewart County Royal Knights to 48 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quitman County for a A D2 Region 1A contest on Friday, February 3. Pataula Charter Academy will battle a Hornets team coming off a 54-51 league win over Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 6-13.

The Royal Knights (2-18) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Cougars come into the A D2 Region 1A contest with a 20-3 record. In their last contest, Calhoun County edged Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA), 76-64, in a league contest.
