Ohio High School Basketball - Wheelersburg overwhelms South Point
February 1, 2025: Wheelersburg, OH 45694 The Wheelersburg Pirates basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting South Point Pointers to 35 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now have a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Minford for a Southern Ohio III game on Monday, February 3. Wheelersburg will confront a Falcons team coming off a 47-30 non-league win over Warren (Vincent, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 13-4.
With the loss, South Point falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Pointers host Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH) to confront the Blue Devils in a Ohio Valley game on Monday, February 3. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 8-11. Gallia Academy lost 58-32 in their recent league game against Fairland (Proctorville, OH)
