Upsala Cardinals (Upsala, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder (Long Prairie, MN), 50-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Upsala upgrades its record to 5-14 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Benson (Benson, MN) to play the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The come into the bout with a record of 4-12.

Next up, the Thunder play the St. John's Prep Johnnies (Collegeville, MN) in a A Section 5 bout, on Thursday, February 16. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Johnnies come into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 78-43 league loss to Upsala (Upsala, MN).
