In Thursday's league contest, the host Madison County Mountaineers basketball team scored a big 55-30 win over the Clarke County Eagles.
The Mountaineers (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 1-16 record. In their last contest, Brentsville District was trounced by Fauquier (Warrenton, VA), 61-42, in a league match.
