Florida High School Lacrosse - Father Lopez tipped by Merritt Island
March 10, 2023: Merritt Island, FL 32953 Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the visiting Father Lopez Green Wave (Daytona Beach, FL), 7-5 in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockledge for a non-league test on Monday, March 20. Merritt Island will face a Raiders squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Tohopekaliga (Kissimmee, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 2-7.
In their next game, the Green Wave face the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 14. Father Lopez will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Hustlers come into the test with a 0-9 record after their 10-1 league loss to Cocoa Beach (Cocoa Beach, FL).
