April 15, 2023: Cupertino, CA 95014 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA) and the visiting Gunn Titans (Palo Alto, CA), saw Cupertino's volleyball squad beat Gunn by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Cupertino upgrades its record to 14-8 on the year. The Pioneers host Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA) to play the Matadors in a SCVAL - De Anza bout on Saturday, April 22. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Monta Vista lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA)
The Titans now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they travel to Eastside College Prep for a SSVAL - Foothill bout on Monday, April 17. Gunn will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-9.
