North Carolina High School Softball - South Mecklenburg nudges Hough

South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Sabres now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host Myers Park for a So Meck 4A challenge on Wednesday, April 27. South Mecklenburg will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Hough falls to 16-3 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 14-2.
