April 26, 2023: Cheyenne, WY 82001 East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Central Indians (Cheyenne, WY), 14-4 in a league challenge.

Game Summary
Despite allowing three runs in the fifth inning, East Thunderbirds Varsity Girls Softball defeated Central Indians Varsity 14-4 on Wednesday. Centrals' offense in the inning was led by Izzy Thomas and Maddie Birt, all driving in runs in the inning. In the first inning, Central got their offense started when Birt grounded out, scoring one run.
East pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Jaylyn Christensen singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Emily Schlagel singled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs. East tallied five runs in the fifth inning. Trista Stehwien, Gracie Oswald, Christensen, and Jaylyn McMahon all drove in runs in the frame. Christensen led things off in the circle for East.
