The Belleville West Maroons softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Collinsville Kahoks to 0 in the Maroons league win on Thursday.

The Maroons now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Civic Memorial for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Belleville West will confront a Eagles team coming off a 9-0 league win over Highland (Highland, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Collinsville moves to 4-13 on the season. The Kahoks host Alton (Alton, IL) to confront the Redbirds in a Southwestern battle on Tuesday, May 6.
