In Thursday's non-league contest, the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) softball team held off the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, Mount Pleasant moves its record to 16-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 17. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 23-0. Providence Grove won 4-1 in their recent non-league contest against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)
