Kentucky High School Soccer - Portland knocks off Franklin-Simpson
August 22, 2022: Franklin, KY 42134 Portland Panthers (Portland, TN) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Goodpasture Christian Cougars (Madison, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 23. Portland will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN).
The Wildcats now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Todd County Central for a District 13 challenge on Tuesday, August 23. Franklin-Simpson will confront a Rebels team coming off a 3-3 non-league University Heights (Hopkinsville, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 0-3.
