The Edison Wildcats (Richmond, OH) football routed the host Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), 35-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Edison will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 36-21 non-league loss to Crestwood (Mantua, OH).
