Virginia High School Football - Orange County thwarted by Powhatan
August 27, 2025: Powhatan, VA 23139 Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), 8-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Powhatan improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Indians host Richmond High School for the Arts (Richmond, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-0.
With the defeat, Orange County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Fighting hornets travel to King George (King George, VA) to meet the Foxes in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 3. The Foxes come into the test with a record of 0-0. King George 12-12 in their recent non-league test against Brooke Point (Stafford, VA)
